06 May 2020

As of Monday Week 3 (Monday 11th May), families are encouraged to send their child/ren to school 1 day per week. Days for students have been allocated based on the first letter of their surname to ensure that families are grouped together. For our families that have children with different surnames, please choose one of the allocated days for all of your children to attend school together. Our most vulnerable, special needs students, will be returning five days per week with their support teacher and learning support officer.
Allocated day that your child/ren will attend:
MONDAY - Students SURNAME A-D
TUESDAY - STUDENTS OF ESSENTIAL WORKERS ONLY
WEDNESDAY - Students SURNAME F-L
THURSDAY - Students SURNAME M-R
FRIDAY - Students SURNAME E, S-Z
Staff will continue to work from home and school so students may not be with their normal class teacher or with students from their class on their allocated day. Students will be allocated to a class and teacher each morning based on DoE requirements of 20-30 students per double classroom.
Parents and carers may choose to continue learning from home with their child/ren as online learning and learning packs will still be provided for families as per current process. A reminder, no one will be penalised if you choose not to send your child/ren on their allocated day.
Canteen facilities will be available each day from 11th May.
A flyer regarding our new school uniform will be posted tomorrow afternoon.
Parents and carers will still not be able to access our school grounds so children will need to be dropped off at the front gate between 8.40 - 9.10am. Gates will be unlocked at 8.40am and relocked at 9.10am. All students will line up under the cola when they arrive at school.
In the afternoon, each stage will be exiting at different gates at the front of our school only. There will be labels informing parents and carers of where their child can be picked up from. All children can be collected from their allocated area anytime between 3.00 - 3.15pm. We remind everyone to be mindful of social distancing expectations whilst waiting for your child/ren of an afternoon.
We are really looking forward to our children returning to school in a staged approach based on Department of Education guidelines.
