Parent weekly update - Week 4 Term 2, 2021

Parent weekly update Week 4 Term 4, 2021

Hi all - my weekly update:

Happy Mother's Day to all our mums. I trust you were all spoilt and had a wonderful day. Being a mum is probably the most important role in the world. Thank you!

Talking about mums (to be) Mrs Bickle has made the very sensible decision to look after herself and bub and take some much needed rest before the imminent birth of her first child. She starts her maternity leave tomorrow. Mrs Bickle has done such an amazing job as classroom teacher and relieving Assistant Principal and been the best addition to our team. Mrs Bickle - thank you so much for your hard work, dedication and commitment and we are just so excited for you and your family. Rest, take care and be safe!

NAPLAN takes place this week for all of our Year 3 and 5 students. I wish all of our students all the very best and all we want is for each of them to try their very best on the day.

There have been some Covid updates on the Department of Education intranet and across the media. If there are any major school based changes for parents I will always correspond to all of you via our social media platforms.

If you have any friends and/or family members who would be willing to cover for Liz or Lou in the canteen when they are on leave please let Mrs Jones know in our school office. It will be paid employment. Last Friday we were unable to cover Lou, however our wonderful office staff stepped in and helped out. We need short term casual workers. Thank you!

Our vacant Assistant Principal position closed last Friday afternoon. I wish the panel all the best on selecting the most suitable candidate for this role. This role is replacing Mrs Shennan's vacant AP position until the end of the 2021 school year.

My quote of the week: Please remember to share any great quotes you may have in your quote bank or recently read. Thank you to Mrs Brown for sharing this week's quote.

"All that I am, or ever hope to be, I owe to my mother." Abraham Lincoln

Have a wonderful Week 4 take care, stay safe and always be kind to one another.

Cheers

Mr R Batty

Principal
