26 Feb 2020
Swim School will commence next week Monday 2nd March until Friday 13th March (10 days).
Prior to the event, we encourage parents to talk to their children about changing after their swimming lessons and ensuring that they place everything into their bags.
What Students Need to Bring:
Students are to bring a towel, goggles, a change of underwear, rash vest (optional as we are indoors) and wear their swimming costumes under their school uniform). All items are to be brought to school in a separate plastic/calico bag with their name on it. All students belongings MUST be labelled with their name and class.
Note about items: A one-piece costume for girls is recommended simply for practical reasons. Boys may prefer to change at the centre if wearing board shorts. No thongs please. Students will be assessed during the program for all water safety skills without wearing goggles.
Session Times:
*Session One (Year 4, 5, and 6): 9.30 - 10.20. These students need to meet the teacher at the front of the hall at 9am (before the school bell). If students are not at the designated meeting spot by 9am, students will run the risk of missing their bus.
*Session Two (Year 3): 10.20 - 11.10
*Session Three (Year 2): 11.30 - 12.20
*Session Four (Support): 12.20 - 1.10
GALA Days/Swim School:
If your child is also participating in GALA Day Sport, they can choose to participate in either Swim School or GALA Day for that day. Students then need to notify their coaches and their swimming teacher by Wednesday 4th March so coaches and instructors can make a note of these changes prior to the day.
Canteen:
Students can still order their lunches as usual as the canteen has been notified of changes to times during Swim School.
