Western Sydney University Pre service Teachers from St Andrews PS, Woodland Rd PS and Ruse PS are taking time out of their classrooms this week to visit Moree.
They have been working in classrooms for two days at Moree East PS. The pre service teachers have been undergoing some additional training in Aboriginal education facilitated by the NSW State AECG who are one of our community partners. At Moree East PS pre service teachers are learning about Gomeroi (Kamilaroi) language and culture. This morning they attended the school's Reconcilation Assembly. They are experiencing many aspects of working in rural and remote communities. They return to Sydney on Saturday and will be back teaching alongside their mentor teachers in our classrooms on Monday.
